Processing information

The VB5 vapor barrier can be laid both lengthwise and crosswise to the substructure. When renovating from the outside, it is laid parallel to the eaves. The printed smooth side must face the installer. The overlap between the sheets must be at least 10 cm (see overlap marking). Lay the membrane without tension and fix it at a maximum distance of 30 cm. Tape joints with adhesive sealing tape (Art. No. 154315) or diffusion tape (Art. No. 399292). Seal penetrations with airtight sleeves or connection tape (art. no. 363630) or diffusion tape. At masonry and plaster levels using foil adhesive with relief loop. Airtightness must be ensured for all interior bonding. When laying in the form of a tray as a renovation vapor barrier from the outside, an airtight connection to the side of the rafters must be ensured by gluing or using trellis battens. Glue joints with diffusion tape for external applications.
