Application Areas:

Berner High elastic siliconized acrylic is a high quality, permanent elastic, one component acrylic joint sealant. It is very easy to apply, colourfast, waterproof after curing with a very good adhesion on many porous substrates, hard PVC and aluminium. It can also be used in sanitary rooms and can be painted after curing

Air tight joints between plastered walls and window frames

Interior joints around window frames with a max. movement capacity of 25 %

Connection joints in building industry

Joints on window sills, between plinths and walls, between masonry, etc.

Processing information

All surfaces must be clean, free from dust, grease and solid substrate
Exterior applications only in good, dry weather, and it must stay dry for at least 5 hours after application
Non-porous substrates should be cleaned with a solvent or BERNER PU cleaner
Cut the extrusion end, apply the nozzle to the cartridge, cut the tip to fit the size of the joint and insert the cartridge into the berner gun
Apply BERNER adhesive tape to the edges of the joint to get the best result
Apply the product and before finishing use BERNER smoothing agent
Remove residual solvent before it evaporates with a clean, dry cloth
Remove the tape from the edges of the joint

Advice

Do not apply when rain or frost is imminent during curing process
Paintable with most water based and synthetic paints
Check material compatibility before use
Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible
The paint must be sufficiently elastic to allow application on a plasto-elastic sealant
