Adhesive surfaces must be clean, free of oil and grease
Slightly moisten surfaces using a spray bottle (spray)
The substrate analysis must be performed according to relevant regulations. In particular, the substrate must be structurally sound, dry, clean, firm and level
In the event of strong wind, it must be ensured that the lightweight flat-roof adhesive foam can’t dirty surrounding objects, components or people
Screw the canister firmly onto the pistol thread and vigorously shake approx. 20 times with the gun facing downwards. In the event of lengthy interruptions, repeat the shaking process
Keep the gun as vertical as possible when dispensing the adhesive in order to adhere to a spacing of 1-2 cm between the gun nozzle and the substrate
Depending on the temperature and humidity, within 8 minutes, the insulation board or roofing membrane should be applied and pressed firmly in its correct position
A renewed placement of the insulation board or unrolling of the roofing membranes must be avoided since the adhesive structure is thereby destroyed and the adhesive force is strongly reduced
In the event of strong wind, the boards must be secured with a suitable weighting material. The adhesive beads must always be applied on the top of the upper chord in the case of trapezoidal steel roofing
For each m² of adhesive surface, at least 3 even adhesive beads with a diameter of at least 30 mm are required. The number of adhesive beads depends on the building height, roof surface, edge and corner area and is orientated according to the region (wind zone) as well as the materials to be bonded
The open time of the adhesive for correction work is approx. 10 minutes. This time may vary according to the temperature and humidity range at hand
Advice
Fresh foam can be removed immediately with Universal PU Cleaner
Cured foam can be removed mechanically or by using the PU-foam fighter
At cold temperatures, store the foam at least one hour before use at room temperature
Please note that from 24 August 2023, appropriate training on the safe handling of diisocyanates must be completed prior to use. For more information on the training, please visit
